In Conversation – Houses AND Gardens

Join us for a special lunchtime event celebrating the enduring beauty of British houses, gardens, and the stories behind them.

We are delighted to welcome three distinguished voices in conversation:

Ruth Guilding, founder of The Bible of British Taste, whose work explores the character, individuality and layered history of British interiors and gardens.

Isabel Bannerman, renowned garden designer and author, whose imaginative and historically rich landscapes include some of the most celebrated gardens in Britain. Now based at Ashington Manor in the Somerset Levels, her work continues to inspire gardeners and designers alike.

Jason Goodwin, historian, novelist and Country Life columnist, known for his evocative writing on landscape, history and rural life, from his home in Dorset’s Bride Valley.

Together, they will discuss the meaning of home, the evolution of British taste, and the enduring relationship between houses and their gardens.
