A Message From The Showering Family

We are delighted to announce the purchase of the Kilver Court property in Shepton Mallet, Somerset.

It is our ancestral home. Kilver Court Brewery and the Ship Inn were purchased in 1854 by our great great grandfather, Francis Showering. It is from there our family's business grew, aided by the success of Babycham, into a major business employing over 1,500 people in Shepton Mallet.

Our grand father Herbert Showering, a keen gardener, designed the gardens with the help of Chelsea Flower Show gold medal winner George Whitelegg in 1961.

We are grateful for the Saul family for being such good custodians for the last 25 years. It is now a well-visited retail destination and the gardens are as spectacular as ever.

Kilver Court is still open. Currently in a limited form. We have three great retail outlets Mulberry and Toast. The famous Kilver Court Gardens are open.

For the medium term we have a very exciting future planned. It is going to be even more of a major attraction in Somerset and a great showcase for the premium drinks we make.
